What is Director?
Director is Craftable's way of helping you create, manage, and allocate Items, Categories, Vendors, Recipes, Reps, Batches, Charges, etc... all from a Corporate level. Even if you choose to not manage any of these things up at the Director level, Director still gives you the ability to run reports for all your stores at once, giving you a better view across all your Stores.
What Director looks like after you login to Craftable:
In the above image our stores are called "Turnip the Beet" and "Lettuce Taco Bout It", and they're both nested under our Director brand, called "Craftable Hospitality". The setup above shows just one brand with two stores underneath, but depending on your business and concepts you can have multiple Director brands if you need to segment your stores by concept.
Once you have selected a platform (Foodager, Bevager, etc.) from your Director brand, that platform will open. You will know that you are inside your Director brand by the slanted, white "Director" banner up in the top-left corner.
To navigate to other platforms at Director or your stores, click on the name of your Director Brand in the navigation bar at the left.
Director Set-Up
Your Director brand can be configured in several ways. The Director brand may include any combination of Bevager, Foodager, House, Books, and Analytics. And the Stores under your Director brand may have their own mix of activated platforms.
For instance in the image below you can see all platforms are active for our Director level, but "East Side Bar" does not utilize Foodager, and "Cocktails on Maine" does not utilize Bevager.
Director Configuration
During the onboarding process your Onboarding Specialist will work with you to set you up on Craftable based on your processes and our recommendations of best practices for how you run your business. Changing this configuration after the fact is not usually possible, so we recommend discussing your processes thoroughly, to ensure you're set up on Craftable in the best way possible.
As mentioned above, Director allows you to manage a plethora of things at the Director level, which can then be pushed down to the stores. Many areas of Craftable are interconnected, so deciding to manage one thing at Director has flow-on effects - you will then need to manage other aspects at Director. For instance, you can choose to manage your vendors at Director but manage items locally (i.e. no Director list of items), but if you choose to manage your item list at Director, you must also manage your vendors at Director. For specific questions on this please speak with your Onboarding Specialist, or if you're post-onboarding feel free to contact our Support Team for help.
