Craftable allows vendors to upload Vendor Catalogs (previously referred to as Order Guides) so you can provide your most up to date pricing to customers. You can upload different Vendor Catalogs for different customers, allowing you to cater your item selection based off your customer up to your full catalog. Uploading Vendor Catalogs is a great way to provide competitive pricing and keep your customers updated.
In order to use Vendor Catalogs, you must have your customer add you as a vendor in their Craftable account and enable Vendor Catalog Functionality for you. Once your customer adds you to their account, you will receive an email to set a password. If you or your customer need assistance in activating this feature, please reach out to us at support@craftable.com.
See below for details on uploading a new Vendor Catalog, as well as updating an existing Vendor Catalog. (Note - if you already have a Vendor Catalog uploaded, you should always update the existing Vendor Catalog.)
Uploading A New Vendor Catalog
Once you have an active vendor account you will notice Vendor Catalogs in the navigation bar.
Click on the ‘Import’ button to load a new Vendor Catalog.
(We will cover updating Vendor Catalogs later in the article.)
Download the Vendor Catalog template by clicking the link in the top right of the pop-up window.
The downloaded Excel file notes which columns are required, and which columns are optional. Enter the item information.
Upload the file with Vendor Name, optional Logo, and if you will be using SKU only or SKU and Pack Size to indicate unique items.
You have now uploaded the Vendor Catalog and Craftable customers can now subscribe. You will need to provide the ‘Share Code’ listed on the Vendor Catalog to your customer for them to subscribe.
Tips
- You may enter more than one Vendor Catalog if you have customers with preferred pricing, specific items, etc. The pricing they will see on their customer portal will be based off of the ‘Share Code’ you provide.
- ‘Update’ the Vendor Catalog to adjust pricing and item details for customers that this information is shared with. You do not need to enter a new Vendor Catalog each time for the same customer or group of customers.
Updating Vendor Catalogs
There are two options for updating a Vendor Catalog and any updates will be visible to customers subscribed.
Option 1: Select the Vendor Catalog you would like to edit and then click on the item name in blue text.
This will bring up a window for you to enter the new price for an item. Entering a new price will then show the previous price as well the dollar amount change and percentage change.
Option 2: You can also update the Vendor Catalog en masse by downloading the current Vendor Catalog and updating your prices.
Click the download icon while in the Vendor Catalog you would like to update. This will download an Excel that is already in the Craftable format. All you need to do is update the prices and add or remove any new or expired items.
Please note: removing an item from the Vendor Catalog will mark the item as "Out of Stock". Be sure to include all items in the file that this customer is able to purchase from you.
Once you have updated prices and items, click the blue ‘Update’ button to load your new information.
